Tell us about you!
I’m a single mom of 2 boys ages 3 and 9. I work full time helping soldiers and Substance Abuse Prevention. I have been doing this for nine years and love my job. I am 34 years old and am a natural red head. I have never done anything to my hair other than cut and straighten it. I hated it when I was growing up, but I now fully embrace it! I love to go to the gym and lift weights, and I am also an avid runner—nothing more stress-relieving than a great workout or run.
Tell us everything that leads up to your session.
Before the session I went and had my nails and toes done. I also shaved morning of. I decided to do it because I never really do anything for myself. Sometimes being single I feel like I am not pretty enough and let my self esteem go down a bit. So it was a lot of a confidence booster for me. Fears going into the shoot were that I am going to hate every picture and not look as good as I see other people’s pictures. I was scared of disappointing Ayla, Rob and myself. Everyone always hears that the camera adds weight so I was worried about that as well I was also worried I wasn’t going to be comfortable in front of the camera.
Tell us about your session!
The session was amazing from hair and makeup to the shoot!!! At first, I was a little uncomfortable in front of the camera. But with Ayla and Rob helping with the posing and making me laugh, it turned into a very fun morning and afternoon!!! I did Boudoir and Shibari. I did the Shibari nude and was very comfortable at that point in my session. They are both very professional. When I first saw my photographs (and untouched still), I was utterly shocked that those were of me!!! I didn’t know I can look so sexy!!! I loved the angles that Ayla got, and I loved the outfits that were available in the closet. I look at the photos on days I am down on my looks, and they always perk me up!
The nitty-gritty. Any advice you would give to other women when thinking about their own boudoir sessions? Tell us about your products and working with our team.
Go in with confidence and trust in Ayla’s team!!! G pamper yourself before as well and get nails and toes done, and eyebrows. Don’t be scared to go nude in some shots; you will surprise yourself. I got the Album in the plum color. I also got one wall Canvas and a print. I loved my items and displayed them with confidence. My two prints hang over my bed in my room, and I have no shame who sees them as they are me, and they are what I call classy sexy. I have shown my album to my Mom (yes, we are close lol) and my best girlfriends!! Working with Ayla is wonderful, and I couldn’t have asked for a better team for my very first Boudoir session. I will do it agai in the future!!!
