Ms. A – Tacoma WA Boudoir Photographer

Tell us about you, anything you want to share. How old are you? What do you do for a living? Etc.

I am twenty nine years old. I’ll be 30 in February. I was a caregiver the last couple years, and in August got promoted to In Home Care Supervisor for the company I have been working for. I love to help others and help them to feel good about themselves and keep as much independence as possible

Tell us about everything that lead up to your session. This could be a story about your past that you want to share. Also, things like; What made you decide to do a boudoir session? Did you have any fears about boudoir photography going into your session?

Leading up to the session, I had gotten out of a terrible marriage where I was torn down and treated terribly. I was told a lot about how I would never be good enough, I wasn’t pretty, and I was too fat. So then I saw a friend from High School had done a session with Ayla and decided to give it a try. I hoped it would help give me some self confidence back, but mostly I hoped it would help me to love myself again and see the beauty in me, both inside and out. I was terrified going into the session but the whole team was really good about making me feel better!

Tell us about your session! Was the session different from what you expected it to be? What was the best part of your session? What were you feeling and thinking when you first saw your photographs? What did doing this shoot do for your self confidence, self worth, and self image? Tell me your story.

The session was so much different than I expected. I had done a couple shoots before this by another photographer but I just never felt comfortable. But as soon as I got to the session any and all fears or skepticisms I had disappeared. Ayla and the team were so professional but at the same time laid back. I became more at ease the further into the makeup and session we got, and soon it just felt like hanging out with friends. It is also clear that Ayla truly cares about her clients and the quality of her work, and her passion truly shows in the finished products.

The nitty-gritty! Any advice you would give to other women when thinking about their boudoir session? What products did you order and what did you think about them when you received them? How did you like working with Ayla and the team?

The advice I would give another woman would be to not be afraid to ask any questions you have. Ayla will never make you feel dumb for asking. Also if you are nervous that is okay, because I promise as soon as you get to the session you will feel at ease before you know it. It might be their profession, but none of the team members make you feel like it’s just another day at the office, you leave feeling like you were just hanging out with friends.

If you were going to write a review for us, what would you say?

If I were to write a review I would say, Ayla Quellhorst Photography was one of the most professional, down to earth, completely nice, and nonjudgmental boudoir photographers out there, and I would 10/10 recommend going to her! You’ll leave feeling a hundred times more confident.

Share the love!
