Ms. D – Destination Boudoir Photographer

Tell us about you, anything you want to share. How old are you? What do you do for a living? Etc.

Hello I am Dee short for DeAnna. I am 31 years old. I love anything artsy from drawing, photography, animating by making characters and making them move, singing to even dancing even though not that great at it but I have a blast dancing. I love hiking and got to explore a lot of Washington this summer ❤️

Tell us about everything that lead up to your session. This could be a story about your past that you want to share. Also, things like; What made you decide to do a boudoir session? Did you have any fears about boudoir photography going into your session?

I have done two other sessions with Ayla and Rob. I love their work and their amazing teamwork. I decided to do an outdoor shoot this time. I have always wanted a photoshoot on the beach near the water near the nature. I love the ocean and how in tune I feel there, I feel centered. Why not have a photoshoot somewhere I feel so relaxed and makes me feel so me?

Tell us about your session! Was the session different from what you expected it to be? What was the best part of your session? What were you feeling and thinking when you first saw your photographs? What did doing this shoot do for your self confidence, self worth, and self image? Tell me your story.

The session I knew would be different due to it being outside, but honestly wasn’t much different than inside. Ayla and Rob still showed you poses and showed you how to do it even in the sand. Was never afraid to ask me if I was comfortable to go somewhere on the landscape to get that perfect picture and they where okay with a no too. I’m adventurous so I was up to climbing this big rock to get that shoot or even walked a little in the water to get to the rock in the water to get the beautiful shot was so amazing breath taking I loved the adventure. It reminded me I may not feel comfortable in my body, but seeing these reminds me who I am and how strong I am and nothing will change that.

The nitty-gritty! Any advice you would give to other women when thinking about their boudoir session? What products did you order and what did you think about them when you received them? How did you like working with Ayla and the team?

My biggest advice is if you say you can’t do this but want to. Talk to Ayla she is amazing explain how the process works and she is also awesome to talk to. She will even show you how to do the posses which she has shown on her web page on fb. She empowers women so much her and her team do. Do the leap of faith and jump. Once you do it it’s addicting. I love it and it has turned me into being the girl behind the camera to the girl in front of the camera. I have a blast with it. I have bought the 10×10 book with two glass Frame photo both 4×6 and a 16×20 photo wall portrait. I love the wall portraits get to place it on my wall and see it every day.

If you were going to write a review for us, what would you say?

I would give 5/5 stars. Ayla and Rob are amazing together. I love the partnership they have. They both will show you what they are looking for. Ayla will also fix your hair if something is wrong, but will ask u first before touching to make sure it’s okay. Help with outfit pickings if need advice. With my shoot being an outdoor shoot Ayla and Rob both asked me if I was okay with going to certain location at the beach. I am adventurous so I was up to it lol. Amanda is a great makeup artist and makes you look so beautiful her work is amazing. Again all around amazing team.
