Ms. J -Tacoma Boudoir Photography

Tell us about you, anything you want to share. How old are you? What do you do for a living? Etc.

I am 29 real estate agent. Newly divorced mom of a little boy who is my entire world.

Tell us about everything that lead up to your session. This could be a story about your past that you want to share. Also, things like; What made you decide to do a boudoir session? Did you have any fears about boudoir photography going into your session?

For two years I allowed myself to spiral and loose who I was as a woman and person in general. I stopped seeing my beauty and believed my outside appearance was all that could be used to see my beauty. Getting a divorce and basically starting my life over in a completely new book I did not want to continue to view myself as not beautiful or less then because of a number on the tag of my clothes. I saw a friend post pictures from Ayla and could not believe how empower she looked and confident. I followed on Instagram for a while before reaching out. I was scared of hating all my pictures due to my size, I questioned if I would want a copy of any of the photos I also fought with myself mentally if I was brave enough to do them. Doing these photos helped save my self image.

Tell us about your session! Was the session different from what you expected it to be? What was the best part of your session? What were you feeling and thinking when you first saw your photographs? What did doing this shoot do for your self confidence, self worth, and self image? Tell me your story.

My favorite aspect of the session is the very detailed communication from the studio. Before even questioning where to shop I got an email with a list of recommendations for shopping. I got tips and tricks for my body structure and how to emphasize my best assets. That took all the guessing out of it and I felt prepared. When we sat down to do the review I was so nervous I was not going to like any of the photos and be to critical of myself but then the first picture popped up and I could have cried. I had no idea I could be that sexy and look so confident in a photograph . I see how beautiful I am from the inside with these photos and that it radiates from me even in a picture.

The nitty-gritty! Any advice you would give to other women when thinking about their boudoir session? What products did you order and what did you think about them when you received them? How did you like working with Ayla and the team?

I would recommend everyone woman doing these photos. They change the way you see yourself in such a primal way. It is life changing. The entire team was great I was nervous to be in that setting with strangers but while you do your hair and makeup they talk with you and it’s helps break the ice. By the time we got to taking photos I felt like we were friends and was no longer nervous.

If you were going to write a review for us, what would you say?

I loved this experience in every way. Ayla and her team were professional yet welcoming and friendly. I was able to be comfortable in my environment with them. 10/10 would recommend working with them any time.
