Ms. R – Valley of Fire Boudoir Photography Las Vegas

Tell us about you, anything you want to share. How old are you? What do you do for a living? Etc.

Hi! I am Rachael and a Las Vegas resident. I am 27 years old and grew up in a small Indiana town called Mishawaka. I’ve moved multiple times trying to find a place to call home and fit in. I’ve lived in: Mishawaka, IN Vincennes, IN Indianapolis, IN Clermont, FL, and lastly, Las Vegas, NV. I thought I would have loved living in Florida, but I didn’t. When the opportunity rose to move to Las Vegas, thanks to my company, I jumped on it. I work for a timeshare exchange company, and they have given me the opportunity to live in both Florida and Nevada. I’ve been with my company for five years and plan to retire with the company wayyyy in the future.

Tell us about everything that lead up to your session. This could be a story about your past that you want to share. Also, things like; What made you decide to do a boudoir session? Did you have any fears about boudoir photography going into your session?

I’ve always wanted to do a boudoir shoot. I started wanting to do it when I lived in Indianapolis. I just never got around to it. When I saw Ayla’s post that she was looking for models in Las Vegas, I quickly applied. I was even lucky enough to win a contest to have my session free! I was nervous the day of the shoot came. I felt really insecure and, in other words, ugly. I almost didn’t do the shoot cause my nerves and anxiety took over.

Tell us about your session! Was the session different from what you expected it to be? What was the best part of your session? What were you feeling and thinking when you first saw your photographs? What did doing this shoot do for your self confidence, self worth, and self image? Tell me your story.

I’m really glad that I showed up to the session. It was an hour away and the whole drive I pumped myself up with music. By the time I got to location, I was ready. Jessica did an amazing job on my hair and makeup and that instantly made me feel more confident. When I got to the shoot location I was ready for anything that Ayla and Rob threw at me. After we did the shoot, we went back to the rental house and saw my photos. I didn’t plan on getting too many pictures but I couldn’t help myself. All the pictures looked so good I needed to get as many as I could! I ended up getting an album, flash drive, and a steel picture frame. I am so proud of the picture on the frame and it’s posted right above my bed!

The nitty-gritty! Any advice you would give to other women when thinking about their boudoir session? What products did you order and what did you think about them when you received them? How did you like working with Ayla and the team?

I recommend that every women at any age do a boudoir session. It immediately boosted my confidence. Ayla was very hands on. She showed me how to do a pose if I was unsure. She would also fix every little detail!
