Ms. T – St. Louis Boudoir Photographer

Ms. T joined us for one of our destination trips! She was able to meet us in St. Louis so she could have the same amazing experience that our WA gals get.

Tell us about you, anything you want to share. How old are you? What do you do for a living? Etc.

I am 28 and work for Microsoft. I have a pretty boring HR job. But my boring adult job is just a cover. I’m a fun-loving, passionate, and crazy outgoing woman with ridiculous amounts of love to give. Looking for Mr. right (kidding, I can fix my own crown!) but if he comes along I hope he’s ready for a woman who won’t back down and isn’t afraid to say how she feels or stand up for what she believes in.

Tell us about everything that lead up to your session. This could be a story about your past that you want to share. Also, things like; What made you decide to do a boudoir session? Did you have any fears about boudoir photography going into your session?

I chose to do a boudoir session because I had just gotten out of a 4yr relationship with someone who’s daily goal was to gaslight me and make me feel less than. I was the crazy one because I would say how I felt and try to voice things that bothered me. This “man” spent every day telling me how I ridiculous I was. I left that relationship feeling less than worthy of love, and inferior. He made me feel ugly and fed on my insecurity from my abusive childhood. I chose to do this session because the day I left that “man” was the day I decided to put myself first! I and a STRONG capable woman; a mother to two beautiful girls and I knew I needed to find my worth in MYSELF so that I can teach my daughters what true self-love is. I think my biggest fear with this session was my own insecurities. I honestly thought I was too fat or not pretty enough to prance around in lingerie. I honestly thought this was only for the model-esc women!

Tell us about your session! Was the session different from what you expected it to be? What was the best part of your session? What were you feeling and thinking when you first saw your photographs? What did doing this shoot do for your self-confidence, self-worth, and self-image? Tell me your story.

Oh my Goodness! My session was everything I could have wanted and more! It was completely different than what I had pictured. The entire team was kind, professional, and made me feel like a badass warrior who should feel nothing less than powerful in her own skin. They took my natural beauty and brought it to light for me to see. The best pet of the photoshoot was probably how well the demonstrations were done. I was out of shape and completely unaware of my body and how to move it, and Ayla did the best job making me feel comfortable enough to work around my barriers. Also, Amanda was AMAZING!!! I mean, have you seen what she’s done?!? This session kick-started my journey of self-love and self-discovery! I spent the last year speaking up for myself more and saying no to things I don’t want instead of going along with it because it’s what’s expected. This session made me see what so many others have said they see; and now, now I can look in the mirror without questioning if the compliments are lies just to get in my pants.

The nitty-gritty! Any advice you would give to other women when thinking about their boudoir session? What products did you order and what did you think about them when you received them? How did you like working with Ayla and the team?

Ok ladies, seriously! DRINK WATER! Like you’re a fish and need it to survive! Drink it at least three days before and continue after. You will be sore! Also, try on the lingerie! Take the time to go to a place and find something you love. Please do not order last minute online. Also, stretch!

If you were going to write a review for us, what would you say?

Honestly what wouldn’t I say!? The honest feedback, caring people and amazing photos made this the best experience of my life. If you’re on the fence, take the leap! Go for it! You only live once! What better way to see yourself in a different perspective than with these amazing people?!?

Share the love!
