Ms. L -Outdoor Boudoir Session

Tell us about you, anything you want to share. How old are you? What do you do for a living? Etc.

Hi! I’m a 44yr old strong willed Boudoir Warrior! I work way too much as a manager at a very well know busy all American sports bar! I am the mother of an awesome 25 yr old and have been happily married for 9 yrs now.

Tell us about everything that lead up to your session. This could be a story about your past that you want to share. Also, things like; What made you decide to do a boudoir session? Did you have any fears about boudoir photography going into your session?

I have always struggled with my self confidence and self-esteem. Being bullied as a kid for being fat, being in a abusive relationship for years, being a 7 yr cancer survivor and now going through menopause I struggle daily to find my inner beauty and find a way to remind myself that I AM ENOUHG. I have over come a lot of hurtles but sometimes it’s hard. So I thought having another Boudiour session would remind me that I am still beautiful (even as I age) and that I am enough. I feared that with my current health issue with my leg I would struggle a bit at the session but Ayla was so great!! She made sure to pose me in ways it would not hurt and asked if I was ok the whole time.

Tell us about your session! Was the session different from what you expected it to be? What was the best part of your session? What were you feeling and thinking when you first saw your photographs? What did doing this shoot do for your self confidence, self worth, and self image? Tell me your story.

First off I’d like to say this is my fourth boudoir shoot (my second with Ayla and Rob). When I inquired about the session I wanted to see if I could do an outdoor session this time. I wanted something different. My session was so amazing!!! It was near Franklin falls (a little down stream) the water was cold but so worth it!!! My photos were a bit more playful this time, which I loved!! Made we realize I don’t have to so bare skin to be sexy. I AM SEXY!! Flaws and all!! I loved the outfit I had on as it was “me” if I could give advice I would say pick something that you feel good in and that represents you. A jean jacket, white tank and red panties!! So me! Only regrets? Wish I had remembered my earrings lol. And I kinda wish I had gotten a shot with the tank top wet or no tank under my jacket but I think I was just a bit cold and didn’t think about it at the time lol. My photos were all so good it was hard to pick. I really liked how everyone (Ayla, Rob, Amanda) talked and laughed and treated me like a friend and not just another “task to get done”

The nitty-gritty! Any advice you would give to other women when thinking about their boudoir session? What products did you order and what did you think about them when you received them? How did you like working with Ayla and the team?

You are worth it!!! Do it for yourself. And take your bestie with you! (They can help with outfits, and picking out photos and go to lunch with you while you wait for your viewing session) I got the warrior package (I think) When I went to go pick up my stuff it was wrapped up so cute! I got a glass block which I LOVE!! My photo album is super awesome!! And my metal wall hanging is going to look great on the wall!!! I so enjoyed working with Ayla and the team. The communication was so good. After I booked my session I received emails on how to get ready for my session. Tips and asking if I wanted to come check out the wardrobe closet! If I had question (even silly ones) I could reach Ayla on Facebook or Snapchat or email and she always responded right away.

If you were going to write a review for us, what would you say?

Hands down such a fun experience!!! The whole team was so fun to work with. Communication was great from the get go! Lots of emails as to how to prep for a session and so many ways to contact them(email, text, Facebook, Snapchat) Everyone treated you like a friend they knew forever! They make you feel comfortable. I had some Physical health concerns (bad leg) and they were so on top of making sure I was ok the whole time and that the pose was ok for me. If I could say anything I think I would say this… Ayla and her team are great people with hearts and feelings!! They are not just there to take a picture and send you on your way. They CARE!! They take the time to listen and laugh with you. If you are having doubts or are on the fence about doing a session I say book one!! You will feel great about yourself and you will gain some AMAZING friends from it!!
